Wen on Pinterest: Why Pictures Open the Door
Reworked market post The original was a market post. We kept short excerpts as a record and replaced the rest with the technology underneath and how it serves people.
This was the very first post of the original blog, in March 2025: a note that the Wen cat had found a home on Pinterest. Later it was padded with a "popularity index" of meme themes and claims that cats were overtaking dogs. We removed the padding. The real subject is worth a page of its own: why a visual board of cat pictures is one of the gentlest ways to understand a crypto culture — and how to use it well.
The board
The community's Pinterest board collects Wen art: space cats, phone wallpapers, posters for events and songs. It sits beside the other open archives — the open folders, the media kit, the almanac's own Wen Media and the Pinterest page of this site.
Why pictures work
- No jargon. A picture of a cat in a space suit explains "community" faster than any white paper.
- No price. Pinterest is a place for taste, not trading — a calm entrance for people who will never read a chart.
- Shareable. Wallpapers and posters travel to places crypto posts never reach.
From a picture to a fact
A picture is a door, not a room. The almanac links every community image to something you can check: the image stories pair each picture with one verified fact; the quiz turns those facts into questions; and the trust chain says how sure we are of each one.
What we removed
- A "US popularity index" of meme themes with percentages and no source.
- Claims that WEN "outpaces dog tokens" and has a "strictly managed supply of ~747B" — see supply, explained for what the numbers really are.
- Links to price trackers.

Check before you trust: the WEN contract
The one and only WEN mint on Solana is WENWENvqqNya429ubCdR81ZmD69brwQaaBYY6p3LCpk. Compare it character by character with the Solana Explorer and the official site wenwencoin.com. A short video shows how: find the ID contract. Names, tickers and logos can be copied; the address cannot.
