Wen and Elevate Pictures: From Meme Coin to a Story World

A meme coin usually lives on charts and timelines. Wen chose a different road in 2025: a partnership with Elevate Pictures, a production studio, to turn the Wen cat into a story world of animation, comics and products. In October 2025 the community gathered online to hear where that road leads. This post explains the plan, what is confirmed, what is still a promise, and why storytelling may be the most useful thing a cat coin can do.
The partnership
In 2025 Wen announced a partnership with Elevate Pictures (Elevate Media) to develop a new intellectual-property story world across animation, comics and consumer products reported. Elevate presents itself as a studio that has worked with major entertainment companies; the original post listed Netflix, Disney, DreamWorks and Warner Bros. Those names come from the studio's own description, not from independent confirmation, so we keep them as reported.
In October 2025 the project held an open online session for the community, developers and media partners to present the next steps — the recording is linked below.
The roadmap in plain words
- The base: one trillion WEN, 70% of it distributed to the community at launch, with unclaimed tokens burned afterwards. That fair start is the foundation everything else stands on.
- Characters: the Wen cat and its friends developed into recognisable characters with their own stories.
- Formats: animated series, comics and merchandise, planned to start rolling out around mid-2026 plan.
- Community: spaces, previews and events so supporters see the work as it grows; localized outreach in Asia, Europe and Latin America.
The original post also described revenue in the "millions" and trading volumes "surging". We have removed those lines: they are projections and market talk, not knowledge.
Why stories matter
Crypto has plenty of technology and not enough stories that ordinary people want to hear. A character who appears in a cartoon, a comic and on a toy shelf reaches families, children and fans who would never open a wallet. That is the same logic as the Wen x Bonk plush and the meme football tournament: meet people where they already are.
For the Wen community it also means a different kind of usefulness. A brand with stories gives artists work, gives fans something to share, and gives newcomers a friendly first page — before they ever learn what the Wen New Standard or Token-2022 are. When they are ready for that, Wen Open Lab and the Wen quiz are waiting.
The wider Solana context
The partnership news landed in a busy month for Solana. On October 27, 2025, Hong Kong's first spot Solana ETF, issued by ChinaAMC, began trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange; a day later the first U.S. Solana staking ETF followed in New York (see our BSOL post). The original post also claimed that China had announced a "full adoption" of the Solana NFT ecosystem on October 22 unverified; we found no source for that, so it stays flagged in the trust chain.
